Market Day Doll Clothes || PDF Sewing Pattern

I’m here to share with you the next installment of my 18 inch doll clothes sewing patterns! I’m having so much fun creating these patterns and I have unashamedly added a few dolls to our collection in the process … for the business, you know ;)

The Market Day collection is available now in my shop! The PDF pattern includes all the pattern pieces, plus step by step instructions with photos for sewing the raglan dress, bloomers, wide brimmed hat, and market tote. This new pattern, along with the Sleep Tight collection, are both meant to be easy sewing patterns for doll clothes, and will fit any 18” doll, such as American Girl, Journey Girls, Disney ILY, and more.

My 4 Best Tips for Sewing With Kids

As you may know, I spent a few years teaching kids sewing camps and classes. In total, I had around 80 children come through my sewing studio and finish countless projects successfully, so it's about time I share some tips with you. If you want to help the kids in your life learn to sew, whether they’re your own children, or you want to start teaching sewing classes, these tips for sewing with kids are for you. I’ll recommend the best sewing machine for kids, tell you what other supplies you’ll need, plus I’ll help you learn to just chill and let them sew, ha!

And, if you’re a parent who does not yet know how to sew, but your kids want to learn, this post will set you up for success so you can start sewing right along with them! How to Sew Quilted Doll Sleeping Bags (In 3 Sizes!)

Introducing, the newest pattern in the Pin Cut Sew pattern shop! This pattern is for a quilted doll sleeping bag that you can sew up in three sizes. This is one of those things I keep wishing I’d come up with sooner, as my own kids would have really loved them for their dolls when they were younger. Luckily, these will make great gifts, so I’ll be able to make other peoples’ kids happy with them, haha.

They're Here! Phoebe Cow & Pig Doll Patterns

Whew! When I first started this project, I knew I wanted to create a trio of rag doll patterns and I was super determined to get them all done before we started our homeschool year. Some of the best business advice I’ve ever heard is to “finish things”, so I’m proud to say that I am done and Cow & Pig are listed in my pattern shop, right alongside the baby doll pattern and Cat & Mouse.

Sewing Patterns for Build-A-Bear Clothes

In case you missed it! Last week I released another doll sewing pattern in my shop, the Phoebe Rag Doll Cat and Mouse pattern, with the cutest little clothes! This new pattern is a sister pattern to the Phoebe Rag Doll I released a few weeks ago with the sleep sack and diaper. The baby doll pattern has already been very popular and the new animal dolls are catching up fast, making me just giddy that so many are finding this pattern both adorable and doable!

The Phoebe Rag Doll Sewing Pattern

I’m very excited to announce an original sewing pattern, new to the Pin Cut Sew Shop! Introducing the Phoebe Rag Doll, an easy soft doll PDF sewing pattern, with a sleep sack and diaper.

I really wanted to create a simple, one piece, soft doll sewing pattern that’s simple enough for even kids to sew with help. There are many lovely rag doll sewing patterns on the market, but none are really very quick to make, and thus, aren’t something most people would have the desire to make more than once.

The Ultimate List of Barbie Sewing Patterns (and some are even FREE!)

I’m about to confess one of my worst mom fails to you.

I still feel super bad about this, y’all. When my girls were younger, we had a big bin of Barbies, clothes and Barbie house furniture for the DIY Barbie house I’d made them (which I’ll share at the end of this post). About four years ago, when my daughter Layla was cleaning out her room, the bin got put in the living room … among a lot of other bags and bins that were destined for Goodwill. You can guess what happened next. Except we didn’t realize it had happened until a month or so later when she was asking where I’d put the Barbie stuff. We looked everywhere, even though I knew in my soul it was gone, because I’m not much of a keeper so we don’t just have bins hanging around in places and I knew I hadn’t seen it. I remembered telling my husband which things were to go to Goodwill and the Barbie bin must have gotten swept up in the process.

How to Make a Sock Bunny (and a cute fabric carrot!)

Are you an all-out Easter decor type of person?? I traditionally haven’t been, but I felt like livening up the house this season, so starting with my Easter tree, I made a few new decorations.

I recently updated my post on how to make a sock monkey and thought a sock bunny for Easter would be SO CUTE! I didn’t I’d find socks very easily, but lo and behold, I found a perfectly striped springy pair at Target on the first try.
