My teen daughters are into cottage core style hair accessories lately and asked if I could copy a few that we’ve seen. One of those were some pretty, velvet bows we spotted at Target the other day. They were larger hair bows with long tails and so cute! But at $14 a piece, we knew we could DIY them for a fraction of the cost.

Clara Ballerina Soft Doll Sewing Pattern
I am so elated to share my newest sewing pattern with you! My oldest daughter is an advanced ballerina and so ballet has been a big part of our family due to her all out passion for it these last many years. Through her influence, I’ve fallen in love with the ballet world along with her — the costumes, the music, behind-the-scenes, and the ballet itself.
That’s probably why this new pattern is near and dear to my heart. The Clara Ballerina Doll is the newest PDF pattern in my shop, or you can also purchase it on Etsy if you prefer. She comes with thorough instructions with lots of photos, and includes patterns for all her clothes: leotard, ballet wrap skirt, leg warmers and of course, her tutu.

I did a quick search several months ago for boy doll clothes sewing patterns and was surprised at how little there are available! I determined then and there that I would add a collection of doll clothes patterns just 18” boy dolls to my growing pattern shop.
Little Girl's Quilted Purse Tutorial (Beginner Friendly!)
Years ago, I created a tutorial for my very first blog for a cute little purse I made as a gift for my daughter. That was in the early days of blogging when everything was fun and fancy free. Long story short, I stored photos on Flickr back then and the Flickr proceeded to lose a ton of my photos and so the tutorial for this purse had holes in it and I got comments asking for the missing photos for years afterward.
It was a GREAT, easy little project, though, and the first tutorial I ever had go kinda viral, so I’ve been wanting to recreate it for a long time and I finally got around to it!
Sewing Patterns for Bitty Baby Doll Clothes
Even thought my kids are all teens now, doll clothes are still some of my favorite things to sew and I do so whenever I have the chance! While it’s super easy to find plenty of patterns for 18” dolls like American Girl (I even sell a few in my own shop!), I’ve realized it’s much harder to find clothes for less common dolls like Bitty Baby.
