Kindle & Phone Pillow "Plop" || A Sewing Tutorial
I recently became a Kindle owner (I got this one and it’s so cute) and I’m loving it! I’ve always been a huge reader and have a trip coming up, so rather than bring a suitcase full of books like usual, I decided to take it digital and I couldn’t be happier!
However, I was finding it a little slippery and awkward to hold and read for long periods of time! I also read while eating, haha, so trying to prop it up on something to keep my hands free just wasn’t working.
So I made a Kindle plop! And of course I filmed a tutorial for you :)
This is a super simple and fast project and would made a great gift! After I made two for myself, both my daughters asked for one to prop their phones up so they can watch YouTube while they work on other things. I was happy to oblige.
Watch the video tutorial below and let me know what you think of this project if you make some. I also created a printable PDF version of this tutorial, complete with pattern pieces, so you can make these over and over without referring back to the video each time. You can grab that here in my shop, or here on Etsy if you prefer.
I hope you enjoy this project! I use mine every day, I think I need one in each room of the house, ha! Incidentally, my new Kindle fits perfectly inside the smallest size of my book sleeve pattern, so for traveling, or tossing it in my bag to go places, it’s perfect.
Cheers and Happy Sewing :)
