Sewing Humor Printable Gift Tags

I’m not sure what mood came over me yesterday, but I woke up and starting making printable gift tags for handmade items! But I we don’t need any more basic “handmade with love” options; I really wanted to make some funny ones, so I came up with three different designs for adding some sewing humor to my sewn gifts. I then listed them in my shop to share with YOU! Keep reading to see all three designs and to get yours from the shop :)

These gift tags are instant downloads for you to print at home onto cardstock and cut out. I recommend cutting them out by leaving a small border around them. Then, you just punch a hole in them and add string to tie them onto gifts. OR, you can print them out onto sticker paper and stick them directly onto presents or gift bags. Here is the sticker paper I’ve ordered and have had good results with it.

You can find all three gift tags in my shop, and you can save a bit of money when you buy the bundle of all three. You can of course print as many as you want, so it’s the gift tag that keeps on giving (haha, punny).

The “Handmade with Cursing, I mean, Love” tag is probably my favorite. My family cracked up at this one. This tag prints 6 to a page.

I like to use string or ribbon with texture when I tie gift tags onto things. Baker’s twine is my favorite, or simple hemp twine is my second choice.

The “I like, totally made this” gift tag is a little bigger than the other two, so it prints 4 per page. Definitely print your tags onto card stock for best results! We use card stock so often for various things, I always keep it on hand in our printer paper drawer.

The printer I’ve used for many years now is a Canon Pixma Pro. I’ve found it very reliable and easy to set up and use! I highly recommend it if you’re in the market for a good printer that prints reliable colors. I also love it because it’s white, attractive, and it’s small and unobtrusive! Some printers are such monstrosities, right? It’s very easy to change the ink without a mess too.

The final gift tag says, “Please enjoy my blood, sweat, and tears”. Haha! This one is pretty funny too. It prints 6 to a page.

I went ahead and cut out all the gift tags and tied string to them so I can have them ready and on hand when I need them. When gifting, I will write the “To & From” on the back with a pen. I’ve even been known to skip wrapping altogether and just use twine and a gift tag when giving gifts like ribbon tag baby blankets, burp cloths, or oversized hot pads.

Which gift tag is your favorite?? If you can’t choose, you can just buy the bundle and have all three!

I can’t wait to make more gift tags for those handmade Christmas gifts! I’m already thinking up more sewing jokes ;)

Happy Sewing!
